Basketball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Christian vs. Lititz Christian Eagles

Having just played yesterday, Meadowbrook Christian will head out on the road to face off against the Lititz Christian Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meadowbrook Christian is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 59-14 loss at the hands of High Point Baptist Academy. While losing is never fun, Meadowbrook Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while High Point Baptist Academy is ranked 245th).

Meanwhile, Lititz Christian came up short against Mount Calvary Christian on Friday and fell 59-47. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Lititz Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jack Kriebel dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 boards. That's the most rebounds Kriebel has posted since back in January of 2024. Xavier Titter was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Lititz Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Lititz Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Meadowbrook Christian, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Meadowbrook Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Lititz Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 58-49. Will Meadowbrook Christian repeat their success, or does Lititz Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
