Baseball Recap: Memphis East Takes a Loss

Memphis East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Overton Wolverines, falling 11-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Memphis East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Kmet, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Memphis East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Overton, they pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memphis East will face off against Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Overton, they will take on Bolton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
