Estero is 8-2 against North Fort Myers since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:55 p.m. Estero is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.1 points per game this season.

Estero will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune last Friday. They had to suffer through a 70-42 loss at the hands of Aubrey Rogers. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ashton Peterson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Stohl, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, North Fort Myers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Thursday. The game between them and Cape Coral didn't end well, with North Fort Myers falling 59-44.

Estero will have to contain Robert Ballesteros as he made an impact in North Fort Myers' last game. He went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Scott, who put up eight points.

North Fort Myers' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Estero, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Wednesday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Estero has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 20.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for North Fort Myers, though, as they've been averaging only 12.9 boards. Given Estero's sizable advantage in that area, North Fort Myers will need to find a way to close that gap.

Estero lost to North Fort Myers on the road by a decisive 82-67 margin when the teams last played back in November. Can Estero avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
