Basketball Recap: Pine Hill Skates Past Coronado with Ease

On Wednesday, everything came up roses for the Pine Hill Warriors against the Coronado Leopards as the team secured a 54-21 win.

Pine Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevaeh Natan led the charge by going 8 of 14 en route to 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Skye Henry was another key player, going 6 for 10 on her way to 20 points and four steals.

Pine Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Pine Hill's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Coronado, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Tse' Yi' Gai the next time they take the court. Coronado will host Tse' Yi' Gai at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Pine Hill will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
