Monterey Trail has gone a perfect 5-0 against Sheldon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monterey Trail took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Elk Grove as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

While Monterey Trail won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Sheldon and Elk Grove have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Huskies walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Thundering Herd. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Thundering Herd: they've now won three in a row.

Monterey Trail's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Sheldon, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Monterey Trail beat Sheldon 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
