Basketball Recap: Checotah Takes a Loss

The Checotah Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Metro Christian Patriots on Saturday and fell 37-35. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Patriots are ranked 78th).

Checotah has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Metro Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Checotah has already played their next matchup, a 53-33 loss against Poteau on the 13th. As for Metro Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 37-30 victory against Victory Christian on the 13th.
