Baseball Game Preview: Winnetonka Griffins vs. Fort Osage Indians

Winnetonka hasn't had much luck against Fort Osage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Griffins will face off against the Indians at 4:00 p.m. Fort Osage took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Winnetonka, who comes in off a win.

Winnetonka had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 22-run drubbing they dealt Northeast on Wednesday. The Griffins were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Vikings. The game marked the Griffins' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Fort Osage unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Belton, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since March 21st.

Fort Osage's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Winnetonka, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Winnetonka couldn't quite finish off Fort Osage in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Griffins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
