It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Williamsburg can now relate to. They lost 58-38 to the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets on Wednesday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Williamsburg's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Carver, who posted six points. The dominant performance also gave Carver a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was KK Pollitt, who earned six points.

Fayetteville-Perry's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrey Barber, who shot 64% from the field en route to 15 points and five steals. Barber has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Christina Murphy was another key player, going 5-for-12 on her way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Williamsburg's loss dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Fayetteville-Perry, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.
