Basketball Game Preview: West Wilkes Blackhawks vs. West Caldwell Warriors

The West Wilkes Blackhawks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the West Caldwell Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, West Wilkes lost to South Caldwell at home by a 72-56 margin.

Meanwhile, West Caldwell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by South Caldwell 79-45 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

West Wilkes will have to keep a close watch on Sawyer Poarch and Bryson Edmisten, a pair of players who had a big impact on West Caldwell's prior game. Poarch went 7-for-13 to rack up 16 points, while Edmisten almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Quesenbury, who posted five points and seven boards.
