Basketball Recap: Clover Hill Comes Up Short

Clover Hill lost against James River Midlothian back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Clover Hill Cavaliers took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the James River Midlothian Rapids. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Clover Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia Kraft almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards. Kraft has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nia Evans, who posted six points.

Even though they lost, Clover Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Clover Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for James River Midlothian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

As of now, neither Clover Hill nor James River Midlothian have any future games scheduled.
