Volleyball Recap: Lodi Academy Takes a Loss

Lodi Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delta Charter Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Lodi Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delta Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madalynn Bates, who had 12 aces and two assists. Bates is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marisa Ballesteros, who had eight aces and three digs.

Lodi Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Delta Charter, their record is now 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lodi Academy will venture away from home to face off against Elliot Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Delta Charter, they are taking a road trip to take on Humphreys Able Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
