Volleyball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond lost against Winchester Community back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Golden Falcons. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Richmond still got an impressive performance from Katie Mathena, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Winchester Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Richmond will face off against Marion at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winchester Community, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Seton Catholic on the 4th.
