Basketball Recap: Henderson County Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Henderson County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Union County Braves 62-24. The match marked the Colonels' most dominant victory of the season.

Henderson County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A'Tylia Green, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 14 points and six steals. What's more, Green also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Jersey Gardner also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Henderson County pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Henderson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-49 defeat against George Rogers Clark on the 25th. As for Union County, they will take on Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
