After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, The Wood-Ridge Blue Devils finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were outmatched by Weequahic on the road and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, Wood-Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Weequahic is ranked 56th).

Jimmy Masucci threw for 72 yards on seven of 13 attempts. Antonio Loyola was his top target, gaining 87 total yards.

Wood-Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Weequahic, their win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.

Wood-Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Weequahic will face off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
