Preview: Wisner-Pilger Gators vs. Oakland-Craig Knights
The Wisner-Pilger Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oakland-Craig Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses dating back to last season for Wisner-Pilger and three for Oakland-Craig.
Wisner-Pilger's 19-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tekamah-Herman on Friday.
Meanwhile, Oakland-Craig was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-52 to Winnebago.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Isaak Maxwell, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Braylon Anderson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Wisner-Pilger's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oakland-Craig, they bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
