Basketball Game Preview: Port Arthur Memorial Titans vs. Nederland Bulldogs

Port Arthur Memorial is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since November 19, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Port Neches-Groves out 55-53. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Indians are ranked 406th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nederland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They greeted the New Year with with a 51-36 win over Sterling.

Port Arthur Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Nederland, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
