Basketball Game Preview: Tallwood Lions vs. First Colonial Patriots

The Tallwood Lions will head out to square off against the First Colonial Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Tallwood turned things around against Ocean Lakes on Tuesday. They strolled past the Dolphins with points to spare, taking the game 59-40.

Meanwhile, First Colonial lost to Cox on the road by a 75-61 margin on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

First Colonial's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tallwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Tallwood against First Colonial in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 58-23 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tallwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
