Volleyball Recap: Centennial Falls Despite Big Games from Eleni Arakas and Nadia Cobos

Centennial lost against McKinney North on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs. The game marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Centennial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18.

Nadia Cobos and Eleni Arakas certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Cobos had nine digs and three assists, while Arakas had nine digs.

Malia McNeal was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 assists and ten digs.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for McKinney North, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Centennial has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Keller on the 23rd. As for McKinney North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lone Star on the 23rd.
