Baseball Recap: West Bend East Suns vs. Slinger Owls
West Bend East extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-15 in the process. They fell 6-2 to the Slinger Owls. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.
West Bend East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sommer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Slinger, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games.

At the plate, Chase Leverance was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Macay Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Coincidentally, West Bend East and Slinger will both be playing Whitefish Bay the next time they take the field. The Owls will host the Blue Dukes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Suns will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
