Baseball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Comes Up Short

Bald Eagle Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clearfield Bison. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bald Eagle Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Dubbs, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Bald Eagle Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Clearfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bald Eagle Area will challenge Bishop Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clearfield, they will face off against Bellwood-Antis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something the Bison will no doubt try to take advantage of.
