Volleyball Game Preview: Riverdale Rams vs. Rock Falls Rockets

The Riverdale Rams will head out to square off against the Rock Falls Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Riverdale is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since October 14th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bureau Valley 2-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

In the two sets Riverdale was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-14, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamryn Kruger, who had 22 digs and four aces. What's more, Kruger posted three assists, the most she's had over her last six contests. Lola Wainwright was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Rock Falls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Mercer County on Thursday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Rock Falls got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 25-20.

Riverdale's record is now 21-10-1. As for Rock Falls, their record now sits at 21-14.
