Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Ayersville + How To Watch

Ayersville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Defiance Bulldogs. This was payback for the Pilots, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ayersville never let Defiance on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 26-24.

Grace Flory paced Ayersville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Flory got some help from Allison Eldridge and her 12 assists. Eldridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Defiance lost, don't look at Chloe Bloomfield. Despite the final result, she had ten digs.

Ayersville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Defiance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ayersville will challenge Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pilots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Defiance, they are taking a road trip to take on Archbold at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
