Soccer Recap: Elberta Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Elberta after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Bayside Academy Admirals by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have struggled against the Admirals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Elberta's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-3. As for Bayside Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elberta will head out to take on Gulf Shores at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elberta's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bayside Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Briarwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
