Mansfield Legacy posted their closest win since October 1, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Midlothian Panthers, sneaking past 2-1. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2021.

Mansfield Legacy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 27-25, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Midlothian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyleigh Shaw had five digs and three aces. Shaw is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Mansfield Legacy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Midlothian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Mansfield Legacy has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Springtown on the 15th. As for Midlothian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Midland Legacy on the 15th.
