Baseball Recap: Capistrano Valley Victorious

After losing to Arlington the last time they met, Capistrano Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Lions on Saturday.

Capistrano Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley will venture away from home to challenge Cypress at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Centurions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arlington, they are taking a road trip to square off against Woodrow Wilson at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.2, the Bruins 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
