Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Surry County). They never let the Sussex Central Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Surry County needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Their offense was hitting Sussex Central from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kahlil Flowers led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Surry County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Sussex Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Surry County will venture away from home to challenge Lancaster at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sussex Central, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
