Basketball Game Preview: Temple Wildcats vs. Killeen Kangaroos

The Temple Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Killeen Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, 2025 welcomed Temple with a 59-37 loss courtesy of Harker Heights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Knights since December 3, 2019.

Meanwhile, Killeen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Bryan on the road by a 57-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Kangaroos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 712th, while the Vikings are ranked 203rd).

Temple dropped their record down to 9-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Killeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.

Temple came up short against Killeen in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 53-47. Can Temple avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
