Bellingham and Granite Falls are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Bayhawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellingham has given up an average of 34 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-28, which was the final score in Bellingham's tilt against Archbishop Murphy on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bayhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Wildcats are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Granite Falls put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Blaine with a sharp 27-6 victory. The score was close at halftime, but the Tigers pulled away in the second half with 20 points.

One reason for the win was Granite Falls' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Granite Falls' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bellingham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Bellingham came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite Falls in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 17-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bayhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
