Softball Recap: Florence Huskies vs. Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions

Florence never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions as the Florence Huskies made off with an 18-0 win. Considering the Huskies have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Dalton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Florence got a massive performance out of Lilly Roe, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Florence will look to defend their home field on Thursday against James Irwin at 4:00 p.m. James Irwin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season. Dolores Huerta Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
