It's playoff time, and Foster had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Memorial Mustangs 12-2 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lizzy Yeager tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Julie Jacoby and Emerson Lechler did most of the damage at the plate: Jacoby got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Lechler went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two doubles gave Jacoby a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jessica Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Foster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memorial only posted an OBP of .238.

The win (which was Foster's 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-5.

Foster will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
