Basketball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

If Richmond was feeling good fresh off their 44-24 takedown of Islesboro Central last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Richmond Bobcats had to suffer through a 43-15 loss at the hands of the Winthrop Ramblers. The match marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Richmond moved to 8-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Winthrop, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond will head out to take on Telstar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Richmond is facing Telstar at the right time seeing as Telstar is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Winthrop has already played their next contest (against Old Orchard Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
