Volleyball Recap: North Miami Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westland Hialeah on Wednesday, North Miami came back down to earth. The Pioneers fell just short of the Homestead Broncos by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

North Miami actually scored more points across those five sets (106-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25, 15-12.

With the defeat, North Miami broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-3. As for Homestead, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Miami will head out to take on Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homestead, they will take on Mater Lakes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight.
