Baseball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Emmanuel Christian Academy was the 24-14 winner over Fairlawn when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 6-2 to the Jets on Saturday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emmanuel Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Meyer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Meyer has become a key player for the Lions: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Fairlawn, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emmanuel Christian Academy will host Twin Valley South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairlawn, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Anna at 5:00 p.m. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
