Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Thunder Ridge

Highland came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Thunder Ridge, but Camden Bateman wouldn't allow it. The Thunder Ridge Titans walked away with a 59-47 victory over the Highland Rams on Tuesday thanks in part to Bateman, who went 8 for 10 en route to 16 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Deegan Branson, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

The win made it two in a row for Thunder Ridge and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Highland, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thunder Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Rigby at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rigby has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Highland, they are taking a road trip to take on Canyon Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Highland is facing Canyon Ridge at the right time seeing as Canyon Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
