Softball Game Preview: Marysville Getchell vs. Monroe Bearcats

Marysville Getchell will head out to face off against the Monroe Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Marysville Getchell nor Monroe posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Marysville Getchell fell victim to Snohomish and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Marysville Getchell has suffered since March 24th.

Marysville Getchell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Shafer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Monroe lost 10-2 to Jackson on Monday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Marysville Getchell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Marysville Getchell couldn't quite get it done against Monroe in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 18-15. Can Marysville Getchell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
