Recap: Kings Park Kingsmen vs. Islip Buccaneers
The Kings Park Kingsmen waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They enjoyed a cozy 48-34 win over Islip. That's another feather in the cap for Kings Park, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gianna Zawol continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last ten games she's played. Ryan Currier was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Kings Park's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Islip, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Kings Park will head out on the road to take on Harborfields at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Kings Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Islip, they will be playing at home against Miller Place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
