Baseball Recap: Mary G. Montgomery Comes Up Short

Mary G. Montgomery came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Baker Hornets by a score of 6-4 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Thursday.

Anderson Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Mary G. Montgomery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DJ Broughton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Christian Gray, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
