Baseball Recap: Berea-Midpark Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Berea-Midpark was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 14-2 to the Gilmour Academy Lancers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Titans have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Berea-Midpark saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Samarin, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Jake Kania also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Berea-Midpark's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Gilmour Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Berea-Midpark will venture away from home to face off against Avon at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Titans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gilmour Academy, they will welcome South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
