Johnson County Central put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Thayer Central Titans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunderbirds have posted since September 18th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Johnson County Central got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-15.

Johnson County Central found their leader in sophomore Sophia Schmid, who had 18 digs and four assists. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Schmid.

Johnson County Central's victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Thayer Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
