Softball Recap: Olympus Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Olympus entered their tilt with East on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Leopards 11-1. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Leopards, too.

Charlie Turner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Eliza Johnson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Allisson Robles, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Olympus' victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympus will square off against Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murray at 3:30 p.m. on April 7.
