Baseball Recap: Father Judge Takes a Loss

If Father Judge was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Abraham Lincoln last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Father Judge fell just short of the Cardinal O'Hara Lions by a score of 9-8 on Wednesday. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Matt Marino and Colin Morgan stepped up to the plate in a big way. Marino went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Morgan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Marino has posted since back in April of 2024. Kevin Krause was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Father Judge's record now sits at 1-1. As for Cardinal O'Hara, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Father Judge will host Haverford School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Haverford School will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Father Judge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Hatboro-Horsham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
