Softball Recap: Barrington Extends Winning Streak to 11

Barrington had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hersey Huskies with a sharp 13-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Fillies/Broncos, who have now won 22 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Barrington pushed their record up to 29-2-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Hersey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Barrington will head out to challenge Lockport at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Porters' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Fillies/Broncos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hersey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loyola Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Ramblers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
