Basketball Recap: Leading Edge Academy - GEC Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Tan Charter last Friday, Leading Edge Academy - GEC came back down to earth. The Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans fell 58-47 to the San Carlos Braves on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Leading Edge Academy - GEC still got an impressive performance from Corynn Foster, who went 10 of 15 en route to 30 points and five steals. The game was Foster's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayley Foster, who posted nine points.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for San Carlos, they pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-34 victory against Chandler Prep on the 31st. San Carlos has also already played their next contest, a 49-40 win against Pima on the 31st.
