Volleyball Recap: Richwood Comes Up Short

Richwood saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Sherman Tide.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-6, 25-3.

Emma Russell was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 15 assists and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests.

Richwood dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sherman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8-1 record this season.

Richwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sherman, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Greater Beckley Christian on the 30th.
