Softball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

Lytle was the 13-6 winner over Dilley when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell 8-3 to the Wolves on Tuesday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mikailah Mejia made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-2. As for Dilley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lytle will take on rival Hondo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dilley is set to challenge their familiar foe Natalia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
