Basketball Recap: Jayden Quesenbury's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Caldwell over Bandys

West Caldwell extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bandys Trojans. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Quesenbury, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Martin, who posted 14 points.

As for Bandys, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.3 points this season.

Brady Swett was the offensive standout of the contest as he shot 70% from the field on his way to 14 points and three steals. He has also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 70% every time he's hit the court this season. Evan Robinson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Caldwell will face off against Wilkes Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bandys, they will be playing at home against St. Stephens at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 63.7 points per game this season.
