Volleyball Recap: Hagerstown's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

After a string of nine wins, Hagerstown's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeastern Knights. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 23-25, 25-15.

Hagerstown's loss came despite strong showings from Hallie Pruitt and Millie Glover. Pruitt had 16 digs, while Glover had 19 assists and three digs. Glover is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Hagerstown's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Northeastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hagerstown will face off against rival Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northeastern is set to square off against their familiar foe Tri at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
