Volleyball Recap: Dale County Comes Up Short

Dale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ashford Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss last Thursday.

Jaslyn Smith paced Dale County's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Courtney Keith and her eight assists. Leah Grace Snellgrove controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Dale County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Ashford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Dale County nor Ashford have any future games scheduled.
