Soccer Game Preview: Howard vs. Aquinas

The Howard Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Howard is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Westside on Monday. Jada Nathan was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aquinas). They blew past Westside 11-1 on Thursday. Considering Aquinas have won seven contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Howard's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Howard might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Aquinas in their previous meeting back in February. Can Howard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
