Baseball Game Preview: Woodbridge Warriors vs. Portola Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Woodbridge will face off against Portola. The Warriors will face off against the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodbridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Portola's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Woodbridge and Portola, and Woodbridge kept the tradition alive. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

For Portola's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Atencio, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Portola has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Woodbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
